Jonathan has successfully completed several hundred search engagements in the real estate and financial service industries. Jonathan has represented a wide range of corporations, private firms and non-for-profits on a national and global basis.
Jonathan joined Carlyle Group’s Real Estate Practice in 2006. Possessing more than 15 years of executive search experience, Jonathan’s responsibilities as principal include client relationship management, business development and search execution. He also has developed an industry specialization in senior housing, where he is recognized as a speaker at industry conferences and author of several published articles.
Prior to joining Carlyle Group, Jonathan was a director with Ferguson Partners, an international recruiting enterprise providing executive recruiting services to real estate and financial services companies. Jonathan also was a vice president for EMH Financial, an affiliated company of Ferguson Partners, where he was chiefly involved in the firm’s corporate finance and capital markets activities, while also serving as the firm’s general counsel. He began his career as an associate at the Chicago law firm of Carroll & Sain, where he was engaged in the practice of corporate, real estate and civil law.
He is a licensed attorney and broker in the State of Illinois and a member of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) and the American Seniors Housing Association.
Jonathan has a JD from DePaul University College of Law and a BA in business and economics from Wheaton College.
