Don Evans has conducted numerous engagements in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, diagnostics, and pharmaceutical services markets. His practice is focused on senior-level general management and functional roles, and Don has recruited at the Board Director, President and Vice President levels.
Within the healthcare industry, Don has conducted search assignments across a range of positions including Chief Financial Officer, Chief Information Officer, Chief Medical Officer, Regulatory Affairs, and Research & Development. His knowledge of the industry, combined with his experience in recruiting superior executive talent, has delivered value creation for his many clients.
Prior to joining Carlyle Group, Don was a senior search consultant at A.T. Kearney Executive Search and Ken Clark International where he served as an integral member of the life sciences and healthcare practices.
Supporting his career as an executive search professional is Don's extensive background in the pharmaceutical industry. Don has personally held senior operating positions with Sanofi Winthrop Pharmaceuticals, ultimately serving as Vice President, Sales; and Bracco Diagnostics where his career culminated in a role as Vice President, Sales & Marketing, responsible for all commercial operations.
Throughout his pharmaceutical career, Don held roles of increasing responsibility, led significant sales and marketing organizations, and worked closely with all levels of senior management in the development of strategies for marketed products, as well as those under development. This foundation gives him a full understanding of the cultural nuances within life sciences and healthcare organizations, and a keen awareness of the unique characteristics required for success in these environments.
Don holds a BS in Education from Old Dominion University.
